Aren't these tires drive flat tires? I think someone in another thread verified through pirelli?

If they're run flat tires, why would GM put an air compressor and sealant in the car? The Vettes don't come with either when equipped with run flats.

Love my runflats on the Vette...at least I know that if it happens I won't have to leave my baby in a "bad" neighborhood or have to change it in the middle of traffic or on some dark lonely road....I have 200 miles @55MPH to find a place that can repair a runflat...that's piece of mind.
And oh, if you do use the tire inflator/sealant...you will probably end up having to replace your tire pressure sensor (since the sealant will do a number on it)...all of this can add up to a costly repair. And if the inflator/sealant doesn't work, then you'll have to either wait for road assistance or leave your vehicle somewhere...neither option is a good one, especially if you have your flat in a "bad" area...your car will attract some attention.

Not to be a jerk but a spare wheel and tire that weighs only 5 POUNDS?

18" wheels fit on the 2SS with Brembo's. Unless you have the new Funky brakes with the big round counter weights.

I put 18" wheels and Blizzaks on in the winter, YES I am POOR and can't afford 2 cars, sorry. :(

I have had a 20 inch polished rim and tire in the trunk since a week after purchase of the vehicle.Yes it does fit thru the trunk opening and you do have to tilt it downward when placing it into the trunk. It takes up a little less than half the trunk space.Good enough for me and removes the worry and waiting if I had to call a rollback.

I just swapped out my 'roller skate' brake pads with Hawk ceramics this weekend on my SS. Now I need to start looking for a compact spare that's big enough to fit over the front brake calipers and small enough to fit in the trunk storage hole. I think there are some 18" rims that will work...
