True, but with the Pirelli's it feels like you're on black ice ALL the time....

2 winters in the P-Zeros, no issues in the cold, (driving normally, not aggressively) but I will not use them on ice or snow. They are hard as a rock when cold, but no real issues with general traction when cold. As I suggested in your other thread, your tires are new, if I remember correctly, get some all-seasons, sell your P-Zeros to someone on here to help recoup your costs.

I will not drive mine in the snow and ice, but I have the luxury of carpooling or driving the wife's AWD Equinox.

Good luck neighbor!

Thanks for the info. I didn't see you have the RS package.

I don't see tire sizes that are good in the General brand. They seem too low profile on their 19" sizes.

Is this a good all season/performance tire??

I am thinking of buying a crap box for the winter and putting my baby in storage. No worries of salt or accidents hopefully not in crap box either. Looking for one for like under $1000, then sell it like in March, April or so.

The P-Zeros had noticeably less traction even on dry pavement when the temperatures got down near freezing. The car was still fine on dry or even wet pavement as long as it's driven carefully. I'd be very nervous on snow or ice!

Pirelli scorpion ice & snow tires went on mine last week though. Within a day we got freezing rain and ice everywhere. I pushed it in places with the new tires to find their limits and it took some pushing beyond reasonable driving to lose traction.
