This ZL1 had less than 300miles.
$13,000 annual policy premium is synonymous with "pay to play".
When I was 18, I drove a '66 VW Bug.
OUCH >____<

I was driving my dads old Accord until 25, then jumped straight to Camaro once I saved up enough cash~ all paid off with one check
It also helps that I'm considered a "business owner" to the insurance companies
I even had a 22 mph over the speed limit ticket before and an average credit score for my age, the premium still remains around $1000 per year.

Shop around. Insurance companies' criteria for their rates vary wildly. For essentially the same level of coverage, the difference between one insurer and another can be HUGE. Shop around!!! It's a pain in the tail, but 15 minutes COULD save you... wait, just SHOP AROUND!

Why the heck would anybody pay $4,000 a year for insurance? In 5 years you could have bought a decent car with that...

I know a Chinese kid in Boston paying 15k a yr of his parents' money for his base C6 corvette......
People who never earned money themselves have weird value systems...... another college kid was selling his 70k audi to pay for rent
In fact I know a ton of Chinese kids up there spending most of their college living money on sports cars, while their parents overseas write the checks
To most people a camaro means a few moths or over a year of work and less going out, to others it's just a few extra Email and phone calls

Thats about how much I was paying for a new car full coverage when I was in college for a sports car, but I was making decent money so it wasn't a big deal.
Pay to play.

its on lowest milage it can be too.
even if i didn't have full coverage it would only be a difference of like 100 dollars a year

I'm 23 and I don't even pay half that to insure my Camaro plus my daily driver (Pontiac G6). Both are full coverage too

There are many factors that come into play when it comes to Auto Ins. Age, Sex, Credit Score, and demographical area. If I were to move to the midwest with ALOT less to no traffic congestion my Ins would drop way down. Living in 1 of the worst areas for traffic and peoples driving habits dont help us here. I'm with Allstate and only pay 190 a month for Full coverage on my camaro, Brand new Toyota highlander, and my pontiac G6.
