I was thinks forget badges what is the difference with a loud idle cam in your car? I'm going to do a l99 to ls3 conversion and been thinking of this for a while.

Guys/gals with a loud idle what has been the difference in peoples reaction/racers?

I normally only have issues on the road when a middle aged guy in a BMW and a blonde in the passenger seat rolls up to me.

I debaged every Badge on my car besides the one on the reverse light, bill be doing that one later. It looks a lot cleaner Imo and never get that problem. They can hear the Hemi through the Super 40s to Straight Pipe Exhaust! I get hundreds of Thumbs Up a day by any and everybody

How about the ZL1's? Do you get challenged by civics still?
Ummmm yea.... I never understood the whole "I NEED A BADGE FOR EVERY MOD I HAVE DONE!" thing.

This whole analysis of "what makes people want to race me" thing is getting rather absurd and pointless.

Some people see a sports car, and want to race it. Whether it's jealousy, interest, hate, ignorance, etc. Who cares? The reason doesn't matter. People need to get over it.

But if you're going to show off and advertise that you supercharged thinking it's going to stop people from wanting to race you, that is a bit out of touch with reality. The more you advertise your car and try to stand out, the more you're going to be noticed. Pretty simple really. I have no idea what you are trying to acheive here.

Sounds like he took pity on you... Lol

It's an internet forum. the OP asked for opinions, so I gave mine. If you don't like it, then you can take your own advice.

Depends on what idiots you happen to be driving around more then what badges you have on your car. I have been challanged as much by other camaro owners as anyone else. Not sure why and it does not make much sense.

I will say that it seems everyone next to you on a red light makes for damn sure they jump off the line as hard as they can for some reason.... Usually just smile at them when I catch up to them. If they give ya the stare down you can drop a couple gears and smoke 'em doing 30 mph and that usually makes the point that your not driving next to a stock camaro...

Alot of people out there would not give the badging any attention at all anyway.

badging adds at least 50HP, just ask the ricer crowd and that's why Pep Boys can't keep NOS and other stickers in stock.

Honestly the majority of those trying to screw with you dont know crap about camaros and know even less about what any badge on one means. I had all sorts of them everwhere I went want to play with my Z28 and one I actually had convinced the LT1 was a 4 cylinder under the hood if that tells you anything. You're better off ignoring those types and doing whatever makes you happy to the car because there is always gonna be some idiot that is gonna try it with you anyway.
