I for one appriciate the warning, my post was to head off the demand for recalls that often drag out forever.

Thanks for letting the community know in case it does get to be a problem, after all the dreaded rag top rub marks started out with one person before the rest chimed in....

Your right, it might be an issue if it shows up on other ZL1's but so would the engine falling out. I deal with panic over one off's every day in work. It gets tiring because people I work with want me to react to every one time issue when I focus on the metrics to identify and solve the biggest volume issues.

I hear "This is happening a lot" all the time, only to find that it is one event on 1000 installs. Not worth the time it took to research it.

So, yea, that makes me grumpy. This is the internet. Very easy for your single comment to go viral and next thing you know all ZL1's have an exhaust problem

I think it's sad a $60,000 "Ultimate" Camaro has seen too many issues it probably shouldn't have...

I to do greatly appreciate the heads up. I am always wanting to learn more about the car. It may be an isolated incident, which I agree, but it's nice to know about it so I can keep it in the back of my mind in case I may have a problem.

people are making more of this than it is. GM will fix it and it porabaly just a defect on that muffler. you make a few thousand of anything there will be a defect or two.

Now if they don't fix it then people have a right to complain.

Flowmasters have welded sheetmetal and no packing. I have had the alumized ones crack out before though. So completely different design.

I would bet if you cut this open there is a perforated tube and some packing got drawn into it. might affect the sound and obviouly looks wierd but the car is fine.
