Here's the thread, kind of amusing.

No one compares the Solstice to the
Camaro, grasshopper. The results were compared. Read. Try it. Oh, and by the way, it was not in the "V8 section"..

Since you have no idea who even made your intake and did no dyno/ AFR readings/ or track runs you have no way of proving to anyone here that your money was well spent or wasted...

We are all aware that you can get CAI, panel filters, and generic items off ebay. I reserve that for parts that don’t have the potential to destroy my motor like LED lights and stickers....
No one obsessed with anything, little one. YOU are obsessed with name brand and how much you can pay for something. You and your friend should actually try reading before shooting your mouths off.

Besides the data posted there, it comes down to personal choice of aesthetics and build quality.

I chose to go with CAI and a scoop. And I'm quite happy with my purchase.

Looks sick man!! Nice job!

Bonanza, I'm pretty sure the thread that the other guys were referring to, and the one in the link several posts above, was in the V-8 section.

Every picture I've seen of a Vararam, the filter is exposed when the hood is open...or are people photographing them with a cover removed...or what?

I think Bonanza and I should shoot it out in the 1/4. Check my mods in the sig and let me know (i have never run on a track, so I'm no ringer, by any means). Or, we can run at a dyno here in town, same machine, same day.

they all have similar numbers biggest difference is in quality of the parts and their finish and ease of installation ...that's my story and I'm sticking to it

The Spectre is probably the best "cheapy" out there IMO. It may not put #s down like a Rotofab or the like but it is nice for the money- like 150 bucks.

No, he didn't start this thread in here. After he got put in his place via the other thread, he went to "General Discussion" trying drum up support. The mods moved it back in here. I guess he didn't get the responses he was looking for.

As for the comparisons, it wouldn't do any good. The OP is obsessed with his cheap Ebay intake and what he paid for it, along with thinking ALL V8 owners are condescending and arrogant. It's just another troll thread.

If this thread was in the V6 section, you would be right. Seeing that this is the V8 section, the V8 VR filter isn't exposed when you lift the hood.

what testing have you done that concludes the higher priced intakes are a "waste of money" ?

to contradict your statements, there have been many thorough tests ran by very reputable people that show there is benefits to certain intakes.

take your head from your a$$ please.
