I guess just wishful thinking. I know Chevy used to do that like putting the 63 rear end style on the 61 and 62 corvette.

Your salesman is an idiot as the 2014 Silverado isn't getting "new fascias". First off it's a whole new truck. Second the fascia is the rear of the vehicle, the front is the grille.

GMs part list names all the front bumper covers " fascias "

The grill is only what goes inside the fascia.

Actually the proper term fascia can refer to either the front or rear.

You have front and rear fascias. It applies to both.
