As mentioned before the speed or road does not matter you should always keep it at the rpm that suits the condition. Uphill higher downhill a little lower flat road downshift for turns and blast out of them. It is the torque range keep the engine happy listen and your car will talk to you. I like 3rd for 50 - 70 twisties.
