Hasn't happened but my old one looks like it will do it anytime. Somehow my trunk open button got stuck sideways onetime too. Eventually it settled back in its normal position but I thought I was going to have to cut the damn thing out.

Yes that happened to my key, so i got a new used one off of ebay for 19.99, then just put my key and chip into the new shell
