Equity vs depreciation. Who gets what? I leased a dozen vehicles in my life. Last 6 I bought because where I live now I put on to many miles. Leasing is the best option if you don't keep cars for more than two years and can stay within the mileage. Op, I'd shoot for 0 down.

A lease on a camaro is tricky because you'll want to mod it. Like it has been said already, but the deal sounds pretty good actually. How much of that $4.5k down is security deposit that'll you'll be getting back? Put that towards a 50th edition 6th gen when all is said and done |

A friend of mine sells cars and he once told me that he would rather lease one car a week instead of sell 4. That is the difference on the profit for a dealer on a lease. However, it is your money and do what you want. I leased once and will never do it again.

@OP: Once again congrats on the purchase and new ride! I mean it though about that smart lease program. I bought it for my leased camaro because of the horror stories I experience at work almost every week.

I am seriously going to think about leasing the next car i buy, I don't think i have ever kept a car over two or three years, so i think i would enjoy the fact of knowing i wouldn't lose my arse every time i trade

You lease jellybean cars or cars you don't care about. You want to OWN a Camaro. I guess I'll never understand about leasing a Camaro. Unless it's a business write-off, etc., it makes no financial sense to me.

Residual. Cap cost. Interest. Buy at end of lease price. Does the down payment include:Tax, title and dmv? At face value it looks like a good lease but these numbers will tell the true tale. Leasing is not for everyone but my wife and I have leased for over 20 years and love getting a new car every three years with never a worry about warranty and repairs.
