Comes with but you can use full synthetic as long as it's got the certifications it won't void the warranty.

I would recommend Royal Purple 5/30 full synthetic. That's just a personal taste though.

The 09 Cadillac CTS said MOBIL 1 on the oil cap for the V6.

oil V6

Guys I guess I'm still hearing both oils??
Oil fill cap on V6 only says 5w-30

Heres why I want to know:
This will be my fun car only driven 2-3000 per yr.
I don't want to waste my money on synthetic. I'd rather change the oil every yr at 3,000 miles with conventional oil using summertime additives.
It is a waste of money using synthetic for only 3k miles then changing it. After all i have never worn out a GM engine yet period.
The interiors go before my engines.
Also if you change the break in oil from the factory too soon my experience with new cars says you will not seat the mating surfaces properly and risk an engine that burns oil. Had this happen on a new 88 Cougar.

I have an 05 cts with the 3.6. It says to use mobil 1 I would put mobil 1 or at least an oil of equal or better quality. I personally use royal purple in all my cars. If you look on the net you can find info on how mobil 1 isn't truly a synthetic oil it's really a highly refined conventional oil (still really good) but the royal purple tests that show how it performs with heat across the engine have sold me. I'm sure amisol would net similar results as well.

Did you ever find out what oil came in the 2010 V6 Camaro at Factory? I switched to Synthetic now my car burns oil out the exhaust

I believe it was a synthetic blend that came from the factory. Do you have a pic? These V6's run rich from the factory and contributes to sooty exhaust tips. Additionally, most (if not all) Gen 5's leak exhaust fluid on the stock exhaust "mufflers" where it has those black lines of dirt.
