Due to weak output shafts in the Tremec on certain build #'s. However, it seems like GM is working to amend the problem and it should be covered under warranty. It has been a joke in the automotive world recently that even though the GTR came with LC as an advertised feature, it has been known to break the fancy sh'mancy dual clutch gearbox. The kicker is that NISSAN is VOIDING your warranty if you disengage VDC. How bout them apples??
Just for fun...

And that demo was badass, good find indeed!

Awesome, thanks for the info.

Being a bit of a perfectionist, I'd like to learn to launch and controll the car for great 60' times myself.

however, most weekend racing is bracket races.... I'd probably use it for consistancy's sake if there was something I wanted to win. (like money )

Be warned, if you hit the button 1 time and turn the TC off and try and do a burnout, make sure you DUMP the clutch as fast a possible or you will burn the clutch. I ***** footed the clutch and made one hell of a "smoke" cloud and it wasn't the tires...

The launch control works really well, just make sure both pedals are totally mashed to the floor and make sure your floor mats are being held by the clips so the mat is not in the way.

Sounds like you are doing it right, at least that is how I did it and mine only went up to 4200 rpm. Are you sure you put the gas pedal to the floor?
