Not that unusual; especially if there is extensive roof damage. In 08 I was caught in a bad hail storm in my TB SS and it destroyed the windshield plus hood, roof and fender damage. The preliminary estimate was $4K.

That sucks man. Your car is beat to hell, I'm a PDR tech and I wouldn't want to touch your car, huge dents and looks like there are hundreds of them, would take too much time. If the hail was big enough to crack paint, then it's body shop, not pdr,the pillars are body shop for sure, too many dents on pillars to glue pull so it would come out all wavy looking, so cost of repair will really start to add up quick. Hopefully they total it out for you. Good luck man.

Man, that is a lot of hits. I feel for you - same thing happened to me about twenty years back, but with baseball sized hail here in north Texas and my 1 year old baby was totaled. Still stings today thinking about it. Are you still paying it off? Hopefully, if it is totaled, the insurance will take care of you so you are not upside down on a loan.

Yea, that's pretty bad. I agree it's totaled. It appears there's not one square inch that wasn't damaged. No worries, get an SS!

Yes, or any other type of loss.
Most insurance co's will take the ACV (actual cash value), then deduct the estmiated salvage value.
Any repair cost above that figure will deem the vehicle a total loss.
In this case this cars salvage will be in excess of 50% imo so it will not take much to total it.
Also A Town: before you start to strip parts off of a totalled car make sure you get the
Insurance Co's OK...Remember, they are entitled to the salvage vehicle after you settle with them.
