How did you remove the small intake manifold cover? I see you have the entire intake manifold exposed. I assume you have to remove the fuel line. Was that difficult?
The little plastic cover comes off fairly easy. You just have to remove the bolts for the fuel rails and remove the screws for the bracket towards the rear of the intake manifold. Fuel rail comes out easy. Just unplug the injectors and pull up. Its about a 20 minute job getting the little cover off. You don't have to remove the fuel line to pull up the rails.

I wash my car at least once a week [maybe once every two weeks during the dead of winter] and I've only cleaned my engine bay once in the past year. It was barely dirty for some reason... Just a damp cloth and it was cleaned up in a jiffy.

It doesn't take much to keep it clean. So long as it isn't raining it stays fairly clean. If it is just light dust I will hit it with quick detailer or waterless carwash.

Hmm... I never thought about using some quick detailer on it. That's a good idea.

BTW it works good for taking the shoe polish numbers off your car after a track day

I've used quick detailer in the house before. It makes my refrigerator look good.

A damp rag works on my black krinkle look fridge but my non matching white glass top stove might get the QD treatment
