I am glad you are okay and I really hope that people don't rush to judgement like they did in the other thread in which pictures of your car was posted

Was this an automatic or a stick?

you live in a rural area and some of the roads have those things on the side where you can fall through...i really wonder how fast you were going and i'd imagine there are a lot of trees and curvy roads where you live

Glad you are alive....since looking at the pictures made me believe that when the accident occurred, the car must have been moving close to 100mph. Hey, if you blacked out, there's no telling how fast you were going, though.

You've very lucky....very, very lucky.
With an automatic trans, once you fall asleep it is very easy to press down the pedal all the way..Common thing at that point and 100MPH would have taken seconds to get to.. By God's grace you survived. I like the title of this thread though.. Camaro vs Tree... I would say Tree 1, Camaro .5...Just because you survived.. I just wouldn't try to VS. a tree again anytime soon Keep your chin up and we all are here for ya in this forum whenever you want to chat while in the hospital bed at home..

WOW, man you are blessed or something. It is pretty certain, whatever happened, that you never even touched the brakes. The energy went all the way through the car to the rear quarters.........bad accident.

Hope you recover fully and get back on your feet. Did you have to take sick leave from your job? Or are you a student, home for the summer? This would be a rough thing to have to deal with, without worrying about paying your bills, etc. Speedy recovery to you, glad to see the person driving that car is still with us!

If you have a broken back and both wrist are broken why are you sitting at a computer just a few weeks after an accident like this typing about it?

If this is true, sorry to hear about it and hope you recover. Something just doesn't look right here to me.
When I traded my H2 we just transferred the tags. Which I'm glad I could do since I had just renewed my tags a month earlier. Would've sucked to paid for a whole year and only use it for 1month. But I live in Tenn. Don't know how other states work. But maybe his state does same thing

Also I'm glad you survived and shared your story! Even though the car was totaled it looks like it held up good for hitting tree head on! Hope you heal fast and don't have life long problems. Welcome to the sight and glad your ok!

I can tell you even just mildly pressing down the accelerator makes this car go. There are many possibilities including medical ones like he could have passed out or had a seizure just happens that was his first. The likeliest explanation is you were not used to the car and the power yet. Who knows just hang in there and order another one, but your insurance will definitely go up for the next few years.
