Ford blew it.. should have gone with the 3.5 Ecoboost! And personally I cannot stand the rear end on the 2010... Hence my new Camaro!

The 3.7 is perfect for a base engine. There's no way in hell Ford would put a twin turbo V6 in a $21k Mustang.

This. Ford will not do that to themselves. They will leave that engine for the MKZ's and the new SHO. Putting that in a v6 Stang could possibly hurt v8 sales. I mean even in the camaro world, would you buy a TTV6 making 400hp or a N/A v8 making lets say 440 ?

Camero Vs. Mustang

car and driver did a comparison test of the v6 camero and the new v6 mustang beacause of the horsepower the camero smokes the mustang even with the extra 300 pounds tel that mustang guy he has no clue what he's talking about and that we need to settle this once and for all on a 1/4 mile strip where we can get up from 0 - 75 and see who wins.

http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...6:z0&ID=loomia or even this one http://www.motortrend.com/multimedia...ons/index.html

this is a cool one iots a side by side comparison they run the cars on computer by specs

The Ecoboost is more in the 350HP range... would have been a nice option and a nice leap frog...

This statement is incorrect. Horsepower is not the only decider. A car with less HP can still be a car with more HP. Weight and Torque play into the equation.

I think it's implied that all other factors would be equal...

No, I think some people actually believe that horsepower trumps all. Like the people that automatically assume that the V6 Camaro will beat a 05-09 GT because it has 4 more HP!!!

Anyways, just can someone tell me how much the camaro would beat hte mustang?
Tell her that her 4.0 only has 210hp. That's why she'll lose.

have a 1993 nissan 240sx N/A not bored or stroked
only LT headers and a custom exaust
stock intake
and i smoke my friends v6 mustang
and in case you dont know the motor in the 240 is a 2.4

93 nissans 2.4 > 08 fords 4.0

so why couldnt chevys 2010 3.1? > 09 fords 4.0
