I've always said, if they put together a Camaro LS with hybrid tech, they'd probably sell more of them to the eco-treehuggers than they'd sell 2SS's to us. A Camaro hybrid would be the best looking green car on the market. Who would want to drive a prius if you could drive a camaro at the same cost, and same mpg.

Finally, you guys are getting it! Congratulations to Mr.Lutz! When you see what the demand is for,what sellls, and finally LISTEN to what the customer wants,rather than the "suits" and "bean counters trying to tell you what you need and want, you will have a great line of products! I think that its about time GM had this revelation, take the gloves off, and build the cars America wants and needs! The Camaro is such a car, as the sales figures for June have shown!

I just hope .gov and the UAW do not use their ownership of GM to take unfair advantage of Ford since they are the only non .gov auto company left standing.

I hope GM can dig out of the hole one day and revert back to non government ownership.

I agree, this is great news! I hope GM is finally getting it. GM, please work on the communication and customer service as well.

while i think it's about time for GM to publicly have this mindset.....what better way to "take the gloves off" than by announcing the option of an LS7 Z28 to send the competition running away in tears??

Exactly, people can name off all kinds of import cars because they're advertised. People still think of GM as having the "gas guzzlers". When this whole bankruptcy thing started, most people I talked to thought the GMC brand was what GM was; not Chevrolet, Buick, etc.

They had a huge ad campaign by having their vehicles in Transformers though.

Beowulf is really on to something here...we've been saying this for a while. I have yet to see even one commercial DIRECTED SPECIFICALLY FOR THE CAMARO.. why? Does GM not feel the need since the demand is so high right now??? C'mon...GM HAS to know they have to make a commercial!
