I was quoted 8 hours to do the work @$109 / hr + fluids + few hundred in parts.

All in $1200. No computer change, since they don't have it available for the V6.

Also the 'upgrade' kit has been available for many many months now... not sure what you guys think you're waiting for. I bought my gears for $223 shipped and bought the other tools I needed from jegs or summit. took me some time to get it all right since it was my first time messing with that kind of stuff. otherwise a great weekend DIY for the backyard mechanic.

Don't get me wrong, i'm glad this is happening but why has it taken gm 4 years to come out with factory performance parts? The car has been out for 4 years and only has 2 model years left for this generation. It just seems odd to me.
