Are you going to drop in a stock LS3 or mod it?

Thanks guys. The 4th Gen is a different animal than the 5th. They are not as refined and still have some of that muscle car rawness. The cars themselves and the parts are a lot cheaper these days too so that helps.

What is this "stock" you speak of?

Nothing is set in stone but I have a general plan and some ideas I am playing with. I am looking to stay NA and get over the 500rwhp/500rwtq mark. Right now I am just working on accumulating all the odds and ends needed to swap to a Gen IV engine and will get down to the nuts and bolts in a couple months.

How much does the 4th gen weigh in comparison? That thing will be a beast with 500 at the wheels.

I have not had a chance to weigh my car and get an exact weight but stock they are 3400-3500 lbs. By the time the new engine goes in it will have shed about 100-150lbs from where it is now. Did I mention it has 4.11 gears?

I am not usually a car show guy but this weekend my car is at the Carl Casper Custom Auto Show as part of the Derby City Camaro Club display. It is pretty cool. There is one Camaro from each generation and it is set up like a timeline. As you walk down the display there are signs with historical information about the Camaro program.

Car looks great, I love how clean and original it looks (even though it has some mods), makes me want a 4th Gen!
