Updating to the 2014 RS headlights

It should be able to come off, but keep in mind the '14 has a taller lower grille since GM made the front fascia thinner. And yes you would have to update to the '14 RS headlights, too. They mount the same way, but the headlights are thinner.

To convert my non rs headlight to the rs headlights I need the harness correct? It's a 2014 Ls... Is there any harness available for that conversion yet? If so, let me know I really need them and can buy them today. Thank you.

I think that's what this thread is about. He said he was going to develop a harness the way he did with the 10-13 LS model for the RS headlights to work on it. I guess he is still working on it for the '14 LS. I am also patiently waiting to turn my '14 LS headlights to the projector and halo lamps like the 14' RS package

So.....say I had a 2013 2SS.....I could convert over to the 2014 2SS front fascia?? And to do this I would need to get the 2014 headlights and a 2014 hood?? (I suppose an aftermarket 2014 hood would still work?)

I'm interested to know this as well. Does converting the front fascia to the 2014 version require you to convert to the 2014 hood as well?

Personally I love the way my '11 looks and wouldn't necessarily want to change all that much. BUT I absolutely love the way you can see the 2014 RS Halos a looooong way off. Ideally, I'd love to just swap out my '11 halos for some '14 halos. Doesn't sound like that's possible, though.

Definitely interested in a 2012-204 RS harness. I am just wondering if you just buy the factory harness if that will work?

Your car is a LT so in 2014 they used the same hood as you have now on all LT/LS cars as before, no need to get new hood.

If only it was that Essy to do, that want work, BCM will not work with out rewiring and reprogramming.

Why would you have to change the BCM for an RS to RS harness? Don't they fundtion the same? Base to RS I would agree with you. Did they change the pinouts into the forward lamp harness? I don't have a service manual or I would compare the two forward lamp mechanization pics.

Yes the pinouts into the forward lamp harness are not the same, we have 3 of the 4 model years service manual out at this time.

I am very interested in this,I have a 2014 LS and want the RS halo lights, if you get a harness to make it work, will they fit right in, from what i have seen they look like they would, but i have been seeing people say that the size of the front is different from the LS to RS???

In for answers on the 2SS.....is there a conversion to get the 2014 front clip for the 2013 2SS??
