In lots of states, anything over 80MPH can be considered a driving to endanger charge, with possible jail time, loss of license and thousands of dollars in fines... I won't tell you how I know that though
Please elaborate.

In RI, they allow you to dismiss a speeding ticket if you maintain a clean record for 3 years (clean meaning no moving violations). I've maintained a clean record for 3 years.....why wouldn't I ask for the dismissal?

Do they not have traffic school there? In Chicago I'd file for traffic school, spend an hour online and the whole thing goes away. Not worth the lost wages or waste of a vacation day to go fight something that you're 100% guilty of, at least not to me.

That would definitely be the option I would do, but unfortunately RI doesn't dismiss a ticket if you take traffic school....I researched it.

I know the road well and 45 is just plain stupid for that road. I would give it a shot in court.

Yeah love how certain towns love low speed limits. drive same road same amount houses not a densely populated area but when changes town goes from a 45 down to a 30. Some towns just see speeding tickets as revenue

I'd just show up and give it a shot but it's ultimately up to you and i know little of RI traffic law i know i hate driving through CT though. If Al didn't have them sweet BBQ's i'd avoid the state altogether.

They don't give you an option....it's at 9am sharp. Then you painfully wait for your turn.

I'd show up for it just to take the chance the cop won't show. Whats the worse to happen? A whole 3 dollar increase on ur insurance a month? Maybe 2 points since it was on a highway and not city street. That's what happened to me years ago.
