I think the stock brakes are efficient, mind you i had several track day's on them without any fade or issues. I now know after several track days to just be a little gentler.I am still going to upgrade to some Hawks just for track days.I just had to buy brakes so this can wait.

I dont think there is any need to upgrade to a BBK on these cars unless its an alll out trac car searching for that lat tenth, Pads, rotors, and cooling definitely but i see no need in using bigger calipers for tack day cars

Brakes do two things, they slow the car and shift weight.
Braking while in a entrance of a corner is trail braking, you can use that to start rotation of the car with minimal steering input. You need to know your car, the corner .... or you will be cutting the grass. Most times I trail brake in I let the car rotate enough and easily let up off the braking and transition into hitting your apex. It is fast, it is more risky, From my experience, there are some corners you want to brake @100% (ABS invoked) and back up the braking zone and give yourself 50ft or some to let up on the brakes and spread the weight out again before turning in, other corners that are tight and slower, I trail brake. Also, on the center-off on a corner, it you feel the front end washing out/pushing, you can left foot brake w/o lifting the throttle to transfer a little weight to the front wheels so you don't have to lift and carry the speed. This is moving weight to the front tires and gives them more grip to add some steering w/o slowing the car or running out of track on exit |
