Thats because you have an Aisin Warner Trans instead of a Tremec.

T56 and TR6060 always have reverse in that detent.

Very very Cool! in my 99 I used an 8-ball for the knob. I always liked the look of pushing the boot down, but had no way of keeping it down. I had to just push it down every few days or so. This really looks awesome!

Its right for an SS with V8. You must have the V6.........alls good in the Camaro brotherhood though

1. The stock manual shifter knob is press-fit onto the shifter lever. How did you get the stock knob off?

2. The stock shifter lever does not have threads. Did you use a die to cut threads (1/2"-20) on the existing stock shaft, or did you make some sort of intermediate shaft that slides over the existing shift lever that is die cut to receive the shift knob.

3. I will be using the Tremec shift knob from Jegs (pic below) if I can figure out how you did your excellent modification.
that first knob looks great , but that tremec one , if it has that tremec writing on it I wouldn't put that on

Is the original poster or anyone else interested in making this setup as a kit for sale?
