Pretty irresponsible of him, but the moral of this story. PAY YOUR PAYMENTS, because when the repo man comes he doesn't give a damn about your car and he will tear it up for you.
That's why I pay cash... The bank will get nothing and the repo man can kiss my a* People have no respect when seizing unpaid property however if you purchase something you need to pay.

Ok if thats your point then a lein holder on a car should keep the miles down and never race it because they don't really own it until the last payment is made.

So you have never beat on a rental car?

The guy may never get to drive one again he was just blowing off a little steam.

Was it right, not really was it unprofessional...yes.

Should he be thrown under the bus? well if someone had a video sure.

But on word of mouth not a chance, thats like the old "I am telling mom"
Bullshit. All you do here is rationalize. Your permissive attitude is why people get away with abusing trust

I guess it's the libertarian streak in me that sees all these people wanting to stick their noses in someone else's affairs when they still have problems of their own they won't prioritize as a sad state of affairs. "Let's rat the guy out to the bank"....lame. On the top 10 list of problems to solve, sticking my nose in this one would be 4,375th at best. Would you like it if someone saw you do something on your job that's nobody else's business and rat you out to your employer behind your back? Oh...but that would be different somehow. Anyone try talking to the guy first?

It seems as if some just want to jam a stick in the fire and try to mess up some guy's career without all the facts. If he's actually doing these things all the time, it WILL catch up to him.

One act of "ratting out" that I could support is alerting the proper authorities of unsafe public displays of power that jeopardize public safety if you truly are concerned about things that could affect you.
So libertarian means "let everybody do anything they like and I won't say it's a problem, so long as it's not in my backyard and I can't see it"? I guess 'libertarian' doesn't extend to accepting other people's points of view.

I'm held accountable for each of my decisions. Why isn't everyone else capable of acting responsibly? The facts as given are what I have to go with. You have additional info? Share.

I'd like for someone to tell on me if I'm doing something wrong because everyone should follow the same rules and laws. Following rules and laws is the only way to a safe living. Plus I know right from wrong so I deserve the consequences if I'm doing something wrong! What do you think jails are for????

It's all ratting until it's yours or your families car!

??? I didn't say anything about lawlessness. On the contrary...I don't condone the guy tearing up the car, but I'm not going to tell someone else how to do their job if I don't have any influence on their paycheck.

If he is breaking the laws, such as public displays of power, wreckless driving, or excessive speeding or otherwise unsafe driving through the neighborhood on the public roadway, to which I already pointed out...then I'd even report him to the police. Then let them do their job and let the justice system do their thing. That's what they get paid to do. Having a libertarian streak doesn't mean total anarchy in my view, nor am I a card carrying libertarian (that's a joke). Far from it. There are some that do, though, and that's a bit scary.

But I just want to know why it's anyone else's business if the repro guy keeps a car a while before turning it over to his client? Unless there's a statute somewhere, I'm not sure how long he keeps the car in his control matters. Sounds more like the repro guy likes to run his mouth about how he repro'ed the car, because otherwise, how do you know he didn't purchase it for himself? It tells me a lot more about the guy who actually let his car get taken back. That is irresponsibility.

Again, knock yourself out if you want to report the guy to his client. If it means that much to you. But if you're going to do it, man up and do it and don't be chicken-sh~t about it. If it isn't something that affects me in what I have to deal with, then I'm not inclined to stick my nose in other people's work. Seems like a lot of wasted energy and for what? It's just my opinion, which doesn't mean anything. Kinda like everyone else's.
