My cousin just got a G8 (V6) a couple weeks ago. It was nice, pictures dont do the car justice. Anyhoo, a G8 coupe would be interesting.

i am sure that if the CTS coupe or CTC does well I do not see why they cannot do a G8 coupe. imagine a GXP version with the LS3 and a 6 speed

This is what worries me about buying a new Camaro--the possibility of that G8 coupe being produced and then wanting one. 'Wish that would've come out 4 years ago; I probably would've bought one then. I'd take mine with the hood scoops though, please, like the one in the pics here:http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do.../photoId=53558 OH, and I'd have to black out those nasty, ricey-looking taillights too--then it would look great. |

The GXP doesn't look like that concept, it looks like a current G8 with 2 fewer doors. It also weighs around 4100 lbs.

Yeah there's a lot of things carried over from The Holden Commodore to the G8, not only same body, chassis, V8 engine, but even the sport tuned suspension used on the Commodore SV I believe was carried over to the G8 GT.
I think right now or at least for the next two years we won't have to worry about this being available state-side. Our best indicator will be to see how soon it becomes available to the Australian market to gives us an indication of whether or how soon we can predict it coming state-side. All I know is I like the Coupe 60 concept almost as much as I like the Camaro but I'd get whatever would be quicker, and more affordable, and I think for right now that will be the Camaro. But how bad-ass would it be if they came out with this... G8 Coupe (standard 3.6L V6) G8 Coupe GT (same 6.0L 361hp 385tq) G8 Coupe GXP (LS3 400hp) It would be easy for GM just to do that. Although... Again we can only speculate... But either GM would come out with a G8 Coupe V6 for CAFE standards and to offer a fuel efficient model... Or GM may not even offer a G8 Coupe GT, they may only just offer a G8 Coupe GXP, or re-name it the GTO (I hope not) and use it as their sole performance coupe... The Solstice won't be around after 2011/2012... so that's going to be leaving the line-up... It could come around then... Who knows? Oh yeah, and it'll weigh more than the Camaro...

The G8 is a GREAT CAR. with an absolutley stellar interior. infact my perfect car would be a camaro with the G8's interior, there are all kinds of custom interior mods you can do through holden that make the car even more badass. That being said, the Camaro is a much better looking car. the G8 is modeled after BMW's. The Camaro is modeled after one of the most successful and best looking cars of all time. |

GXP is rated at 415 now I think. Which was smart IMO since its real close to the GT number wise.
