Apparently we can only have one or the other guys.

Audio or exhaust? Can't have both, take your pick. Oh wait... I have headers, no cats, and SW Retro exhaust as well.... how'd I do that?

Strong inbred population on this forum nowadays.

All opinion. Do I think it's a waste of money? No cause I enjoy my system in both my vehicles. I don't race, I built a machine for the street and car shows. That's what I am interested in and have been since I picked up my first issue of car audio and electronics as a very young teenager. It's not for everyone and I respect that.

I think you can have it both ways. I have a cam, headers, and straight pipe as well as an upgraded sound system. It's amazing what a FARK harness and 4 channel amp can do to wake up the BA speakers.

I had a "system" back in high school, then I discovered open headers.

Anymore if it had a radio and I can listen to some tunes without blown speakers I'm happy. I sure as hell don't want to listen to somebody else's tunes that are rattling their car apart at a stoplight though, so I correct that with my loud pedal and some good exhaust.

Some serious snobs here.

I for one have a CAI and catback exhaust to wake up the car and there is nothing like the loud sound that I enjoy from it. But I also need a decent sound system to accompany it.

Some days, all I want to hear is nothing but the exhaust note, some days I just want to listen to great music with great equipment. It doesn't have to be one or the other. Be a little open minded :p
