Florida = Vert, no contest.

Tell me, what feature on a coupe would you get as much enjoyment from as many days per year as a convertible? It's not even close when you live in Florida.

BTW, get the GM windscreen, the must have accessory for verts. It should come standard.

I owned a convertible once. Never get one again. That being said, if you think you want one get it and see if you are a vert person only way you will find out. If you are not sell it and get a coupe.

This is true. Mine came with it and it makes a nice difference in wind reduction and noise. You can cruise hundreds of miles with the windows up and it keeps the heat and ac in better. You can talk and listen to your music easily. Plus my wife's hair doesn't get blown around much.

For anyone who says that the convertible is hideous in comparison to hardtop is completely biased. If you live in Florida there is absolutley no reason why you should not get a convertible. The vert is also pretty rare, which is another reason why I went with my decision. At the end of the day, you have to make a decesion based on what is right for you. But if you do get a hardtop, get ready to feel regret when winter comes and every convertible in town comes out to play.

Sure, convertibles are a blast to cruise in (I've owned two). I just don't care for the look of the vert Gen5 when the top is up - the top is just too long (due to the "full" back seat, I guess. And I don't think I could get my golf clubs in the trunk with the top down.

I'll just settle for my sunroof, thank you.

This is the best argument against a convertible in this entire thread.
