ok update, i spoke to a parts guy in the chevy dealer and he looked up the parts needed, you need to change the whole drl assembly to a fog lamp assy, also there is a wiring harness that goes from the fog lamp assy to the wiring harness of the car, then the headlamp switch with the fog lamp switch built in.
The total parts come to about 200 bucks but the thing I still dont know is if I do this will the fog lamps work just like a non rs car, it sounds like they should but theres talk that the bcm may have someting to do with it. im deciding if im gonna take the gamble, I figure even if they dont work I have got to be closer to making it happen, just may have to wire it myself. |

One does not need to lift the car and if the car is not lifted, unscrew the three torx screws from the wheel well. Also, I used the power stud in the relay box for the power wire and used a chassis screw close to the power stud for the ground wire to power my HIDs.
