Well, 13, just a word of caution: Don't take it to Mark Christopher if you are looking for a dealer that won't do damage. They jacked mine up, damage, scratches, filth, and never even wanted to discuss it with me. Deafening silence is all I ever got from them in my attempts to discuss the matter.

(they told me the car was done, I went out to the waiting area where I stood for three blinks short of eternity, so when the car finally really WAS ready, I was pissed off, impatient, and late to my next destination. Hence, I did not take the time to inspect my vehicle, and did not discover ALL of the damage until the following day. Sure, I knew about the two studs they broke while roating the wheels (which they offered to fix for only $310!), but I did not notice the grease smeared on the car, or the deep scratches on my sill where a tech with greasy/ sandy/ gravelly boots apparently did the Monster Mash, or notice the steering pull until later.)

I'm not willing to devote any more time or energy into the matter with them. They won't do a damn thing anyhow. Some battles aren't worth the effort. However, I will continue to preach the gospel to those who might consider going there. My sermon boils down to, "Don't go to Mark Christopher if you treasure your vehicle!"

It is the exact same car in terms of the drivetrain and everything mechanically related. Ous is a 1LE and it has a vibration sound every time the clutch is depressed at higher RPM's. It is really not a big deal to me, but I would like to know what causes it out of curiosity.

Don't let your anger get in the way...I know it sounds stupid coming from our "outside the box" point of view (as it's actually you that's going through this), but the dealer did own up and fix what they needed to fix. You did good by not throwing a tantrum, but what's done is done and life goes on. If you're happy with the fixes and what you received for the inconvenience, take it and just use another dealer next time. That's if you're still second guessing the dealer. IMHO I would keep the dealer since they made right on everything. Repairs take time and cause an inconvenience. It's an on-going turn around. At least next time you take the car in, they will be honest about the flaws present with your car.

Mistakes are made all the time. Anyone that has employees in a service industry type environment knows that. It's how the service center addresses those mistakes that separates them from the pack. In this case, I would say they did an acceptable job of addressing their mistakes. Good luck finding someone else.

Wow. Sux OP. Glad it all worked out.
I went there a few yrs back trying to get a 5th gen from them but sales guy was an A hole. Older man with glasses and and semi curly hair. Ended walking out on his dumb self trying to hussle me. Telling me you don't have to change your oil on these cars until 100k. Car he first tried to sell me already had 11k. This was back in 2010. I would never go to them for anything!

In all honesty, you're really lucky. Lucky in the sense that they owned up to their mistake and did the right thing. Any of the dealers near me would tell me A. "No, it was like this when it came in! Not our problem!" B. "There was an accident, and we could repair it for you for (X amount of money)". Mistakes happen.

Dealer did not put in correct amt. of oil

Because they did not listen to me or the check engine light, I drove around for 5 months with very low oil, did not register on dipstick, my question is the engine has a bad rod and burnt bearings because of this ....Can it be repaired ? Eileen

Hope the issue is documented and you get a lifetime warranty on paint repair. Too many times during the last +45 years I have been driving, paint repairs on my autos have failed 'after', 3-4 years later due to poor / rushed prep work (flaking paint). Now I insist on a lifetime warranty on any paint repairs.

At least your dealership was honest with you. My worst case happened in 1967 when I was sixteen and took my 1963 T-Bird to Ford for a tune-up. Suppose to be one day in and out. Four days later Bird was ready for pick up. Smelled like "body shop" (we now would call it toxic paint smell off-gassing). Entire left side of the Bird had been repainted! Found out dealer left autos in a storage yard with keys in the car, some kids climbed the fence and had a fun time playing hit one car with another. Ford dealership tried to hid the fact from me my Bird had been damaged as if I could not notice left side of the car had been repainted and filled with a few pounds of bono.

At the time my Dad, the Air Force Colonial, and my late 1960s sixteen year old self most likely disagreed on almost everything. However my Dad was so pissed the dealership lied to me about the damaged the Bird, end result the dealership replaced all the bono'ed panels and repainted the entire auto 3 times before he accepted the repairs. Repairs cost the dealership more then the 4 year old T-Bird was worth.

This 1967 experience with my Dad, who stood up to a dealership and demanded satisfaction, is something I remember each time I take any of my autos in for service.
