this kind of stuff is what extend warranties are for. don't be hating on GM cause you chose to gamble, save some money, and not get one. and for the record, I didn't buy one either, so I'm not looking down my nose at you. but this is precisely why they sell them.

another speed bump in life, see if another service station can do this cheaper. Sounds like a big job, especially if you don't have the right tools, knowledge, nor the time.
