Here is my install article on the MBRP 3" system. Drone is not bad at all when cruising, it has a nice deep sound and no high-pitched metallic rasp. Plus, I like that they polish the entire system and make it look great.

Video at the end of the article with sound clips:

Is the borla exhaust backed by gm's warranty? The my dealer/ the owner of the dealership, said something about that and I wasn't sure if it was true or if he was thinking about the GMPP exhaust.

I am thinking of going with the borla exhaust based on the youtube vids... or a muff delete based on local get togethers here in sa and first hand listening.

Catback exhaust systems do not void GM warranty. If you remove the cats however, then they could cause you some grief.

Has anybody done a computerized graph on the drone to show the decible level inside the car? If not, can it be done and does anybody have the equip to do it?

It is the full cat back - S Type (Stinger) - which I believe is the more aggressive of the two - the other is the touring. I listened to a few of these exhausts on the vettes and it sounds great also.

Hey! Fellow SD dude! Is your system an axle back or catback? Why did you get it dyno'd? Does that really help with MPG or performance? Would it matter if I only got an axle back? Where did you get the dyno? Is it costly?

I did the catback S type exhaust. I had it dyno'd at Lingenfelter in Decatur, IN. I had them put their 570 hp package on for me along with the exhaust, so they had to dyno it to make sure I had the right tune with the supercharger. I did end up getting about 25 mpg on the way home.

It sounds like the manuals will be ok with the axle back, as it is more of a straight through pipe from the cats back. If it is an auto then the catback may be better. I am not exactly sure, as my car has a few extra parts. I am not sure where there is a dyno around here, I think there may be one in Watertown. Where do you live?

Sweet - I have a friend that used to have a S/C mustang and he would take it to Watertown to get it tuned. I'll have to find out where he took it. Hopefully we will see you around. I am up in Brookings a lot and head up to Fargo often also. You are going to love your car!!!!
