I gotta say, GPI has been on it and trying really hard to get me a replacement, but I think the parts vendor is not totally believing the part went bad without a lot of proof -- which I gave a video and picture so I hope that solves it.

I would have hoped to have it already, but I guess they need more proof. Its frustrating and I understand why proof is needed these days. I would have thought a call from GPI would have been enough, but I guess not.

I hope that it can be sent out tomorrow so I can install it before the end of the weekend. I may have to just bite the bullet and get it somewhere else if the parts vendor (NOT GPI) is unable to get something out tomorrow for me. Not something I WANT to do, but my time and work needs dictate getting the car running again -- it is my daily driver after all...

Not good Don. Can you at least put the stock pulley back on? How are you getting around?

GPI had the stock pulley -- didn't bring it back with me since there was not a lot of room left to pack things.

Well, was using the wife's car UNTIL it needed to go into the shop today -- VW Passat, needs an intake manifold, fuel pump, and blower motor -- under warranty -- but STILL...

Maybe you could check your local salvage yards for a stock pulley for the short term? Sorry I can't be more help.

I can probably get a new one fast if I order tomorrow from a local source. I'd have to buy new belts too for the ac/accessories so who knows. I'll see what happens tomorrow morning -- if nothing then plan b...

Thanks for the support!

Saw the 'lunch' deal on Friday -- that would have been fun...

Or you can add Tyler Scruggs on Facebook, he makes them for sdpc and will make you a better deal shipped.

Thanks for the note!

I did get one from Colorado Speed -- about the same price.. I'll have that tomorrow to do the install.

My flywheel holder is also on its way -- makes the job really easy too...

Sadly, nothing yet from the parts vendor. I would have hoped to have heard something, anything. Not sure, they just could be busy.

Hope to hear something by noon today otherwise -- looks like plan b will have to happen.

Not 100% sure who the parts vendor is, but I hope this is not how part failures are normally handled when they are professionally installed and they fail...

Whew, JDP Tyler FTW!

In stock and shipping today!

http://www.jdpmotorsports.com/brands...maro-ss-918629

This was a 'costly' replacement when you take the 'total' into account (tow, pulley, new belts, tools to install, etc)....

Don't know who the parts vendor is, but DAMN...

Had to call GPI and tell them not to worry about getting me the pulley. GPI are GREAT folks, hate having to go this route....

What does this mean for me? Cam and Heads are gonna have to wait. S***.

Try to make it out to Bone Daddy's Friday Don. I'll buy you a beer (or your favorite refreshment). 11 am.

Let me see if I can. I had to WFH yesterday and today due to the cars being down. I would LOVE to do that.

I may be able to break away for a while -- may just take the afternoon off -- this situation really sucks --

Should have investigate the manufacture of pulley before I had it installed -- I typically do that AND I learned my lesson. I did contact LG Motors to see what they had and the work they do. Hope to hear back from them. Thanks for the 'lead' on them since you mentioned you'd have them do your ATI...

If I can make it, look out for a POS kinda blue Hyundai Santa Fe (2006) ;o)
