Ported IM and Ice-olater are better combo on the LLT.

I didnt feel any difference made by the ported TB to be honest.

To be honest, I pulled the PTB on by itself, and noticed no hp increase, but did have better throttle response.

As for tools, flat head screw driver and a 10 mm wrench or socket. That's it.

The Iceolator is what gives the best results for the LLT 3.6L V6 Engine, but if you don't put the Iceolator with the Ported TB you will still have that "Dead Spot" when you press on the gas pedal. So the Ported TB does finish the good combo bolt-on upgrade IMO.

What if you just have the isolator....Will you still have the dead spot? Don't have money for them both right now so wanted to know which one to put on first

They both make a difference in different areas of the RPM band. The TB is more on the low end and the ICE-olator is more in the mid-range/upper RPM. It won't really matter which you do first, but I would do both eventually.

Feel free to call, PM or email me anytime with questions.

Best regards,

"Ported IM" is a Ported Intake Manifold, yes? who makes those for the LLT engine? I haven't seen them available on the sites I've checked.

Well I guess that I was with the lucky guys who bought it when MACE were porting them in the past. It is definitely the best bolt on for the LLT to be combined with the Ice-olater. I would take this even above the headers and tune !!

It made a big difference to the car low end torq.

Im not sure whether RX performance is still porting them too.

Take my advise, I had them all. The dead spot will always be there. I was advised to change the gearing but decided that I had enough mods on my car besides falling in love with the new 2014 SS.

However, a ported TB to me was a total waste of money. Maybe others felt a difference but again that will be not a big one !!

Here she is out of the oven!

You can see the top shines a bit more do to the smoother texture.

And here it is all back together. The Vararam intake fits about the same, though some say it fits better. Once the permatex sets, I'll start it up, and go for a run.

The felt I'm talking about is still on the engine in these pics.
