Weird how everyone gangs up against the guy who complains about false badging.

This is an awesome swap no doubt, but the Camaro is still not an SS. Of course those who know will know, but to everyone who isn't so car savvy you are straight BSing them with a false badge. Just like with the classic Camaros, of course people restore the V6 and then put the wrong badging on it. And people look down on them all the time, because many of them try to act like they are a real SS during sales which is just wrong. If you went to buy a 69 SS and found out later it was originally a V6 and worth thousands of dollars less just because of the VIN #, you'd be pissed.

OP is gonna do what OP wants to do but false badging is just something that should not be done IMHO. You all go bat shit crazy if someone misbadges a car based on cosmetics, performance should be treated the same. You gonna tell me if I swap a V8 but purposely look like a V6 body kit I can put SS badges? I'll be looking back at this thread regardless, like I said it's an awesome thing to do.

that's my two cents take it or leave it.

Like the person who made the comment yesterday, you are allowed to look down on him. That's fine, not right imho, but it's all good. But its his car, and his money as well, so those 2 things are justifications. Would I ever do that? No, it's not my taste. But it isn't your call, or mine.

Let's get back to focusing on the THREAD, not the extremely small badge a few people noticed in the OP's pick. Cheers. /end

I'm definitely interested in see how it works out for you, and what it costs of course. I would love to do the one day maybe. It would be nice if you could get a hold of a zl1 and do this.

Stay tuned in on this so you can kinda get an idea of what to expect! and thaks man, I'm trying to spend as much time as I can while he's still able to work! I don't know what I would do without him!

Yea man I'm interested in this as well, I gotta '10 Ls and I'd consider the swap if everything goes smoothly with yours, as long as the ECM is swapped everything should work I'm guessing.

This will be cool! I think they should have stuffed an LS3 into Black V6 Body with heritage wheels and called it the Copo, maybe that was just me.

No problem. I regret not getting that last fishing trip my grandfather always talked about, but I enlisted in the Army and spent most of his last years out of country.

Gotta say, the donor car is in remarkably good shape (passenger compartment wise) from what was obviously a really solid hit!! almost no blood on the airbags (other than the normal airbag deployment injuries) Car has earned it's right to a second chance at life!

Yeah, just 3 days til we pick it up! Hopefully it's just as good as what the pictures show it to be. Hopefully no busted trans since it has dropped some! But yes, this beast deserves better than what it had last time!
