Looks good...wonder if it really doesn't add any power like GM says

Nice! I tried to order one a couple months ago but it was still on "z/28 restriction"... I'll have to call and order one up tomorrow!

Voids engine warranty on Non-Z28 application. Although, will not affect engine performance.
Anything but Z-28 -- which seems strange...

I am confused, the Z28 came with this why would an owner of one want a spare. With those stipulations, no warranty unless for a Z28 and no effect on engine performance GM should sell a ton of these.

the magnison moss act prevents them from voiding your warntiy unless they prove the CAI was the cause of the fail. they can put that in there to scare you but in reality if something breaks and they cant prove it was caused by the CAI you can win that in court.

i had a wheel bearing go out on my 2000 many years ago. thy tried to void my warranty because i had headers and and pro 5.0 shifter. but in the end they could not prove that the wheel bearing went out because of those mods so i got the rear wheel bearing replaces under warranty. i had to argue with the gm district manager but i won because of that act.

Seems GM is now selling you reasons to void your warranty.

For that price, and considering it's mass produced plastic mold, I'm not impressed at all, sorry.

Personally, I like that it's not flashy. The price is right around what every other intake manufacturer is charging so that's not a huge deal to me.

Who else besides Jegs and Pace is selling this intake (P/N 23454578)?

The only part I do not like is the price. I actually like the subdued stock look to it, but the warranty BS claim is well, BS.

Made by K&N for GM. K&N wasn't allowed to use the red oil per GM's request as to not be associated with being a K&N product. Will increase performance, though likely not as much as other aftermarket offerings. They are stating that it will not negatively affect engine performance (will not harm the vehicle)
