I've always maintained that GM should've incorporated a feature so that, whenever you drive a Z/28 into the paddock or pits, the theme from "Shaft" begins to play over the track's PA system...

By the way the Z28 that leads the Continental, it is detuned, debraked and detired.

How can the Z/28.R be worth a damn thing without those tires?!? Everyone knows they're the real "secret sauce" behind the car's performance...

About what I expected from the Z. As someone already pointed out, it should not be any surprise that it flat out performs on a track like VIR; it was what it was designed for!

And that's a stock car? Last time I checked the Z/28 didn't qualify for any series in stock form.

Don't get me wrong. The car does well. I get it. The car did well with the best lap posted. Great job GM. I get it. The Z/28 performs on the track.

We already had this discussion in another thread. I already know that there isn't anything "stock" about those cars. My question would be. What do those cars run at the lighting lap?

Too bad CandD couldn't get a 6-Speed Challenger Hellcat for the event. After all, they're slower accelerating than a GT500 (which ran a 3-something), and not as nimble as a BOSS LS (which ran a 3-something), and they're heavier than the SRT version (which ran a 3-something)...
Oh, wait! |
