I used to use a product called eDead when I used to do that stuff. Worked great and was easy as hell to use and not terribly expensive. In fact I think I still have a roll of it left with the roller if anyone is interested feel free to to PM me.

Do you think the bulk pack of the 50sq feet of FatMat would be enough? It's only 80 bucks for almost everything you need to install.

50 Sq Ft of any product is enough for the complete trunk floor, w/hsgs, inner 1/4 panels and spare tire well area.
I had 45 Sq Ft and had 3 15X15 tiles left over.

dynamat works good to 'deaden' vibrations, but adds to the weight...

Well, I just ordered a 50 sq ft pack of Fat Mat ($83 with applicator tool and S&H) which is scheudled to be delivered Friday. I want to cover under the rear seat and side panels, the under the rear speaker deck, and checker board the trunk area. Reading this thread right, I guess I should have plenty of material ordered? If I have left over material, where else would anyone recommend applying it?

I need something to stop the heat shield rattle. I still haven't seen a good fix.

Has anybody tried "Lizard Skin"? It sprays on and there is sound deadening and a heat block insulation too. Isn't cheap either, from what I can tell it is $99 a gallon. Some places that carry it also supply the spray gun. One gallon does 50 sq/ft. Maybe it will come out in a rattle can soon.
