Donna,
Glad to hear your son is feeling better - hope he will eventually realize how serious this could have been and thank God you were there for him! Yes, the weather here on the island has been crazy this entire year from the rarely stopping rain to the outrageous heat. It can be dangerous in so many ways. Best to you and yours - enjoy the remainder of your summer with your new Camaro. Waiting on mine - hoping it'll be coming to the island in 3-4 weeks and I enjoy it as much as you enjoy yours.  Carole

 thanks again to everyone...:( I am very worried this weekend because the weather is still very hot and humid here and my son works weekends for a limo company washing and detailing inside and outside the cars for 9 hrs a day on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays...OUTSIDE IN THE SUN AND HEAT!!!...:( It's a new job and I'm worried that he will be too afraid to speak up and will get sick again... He had strict instructions from the hospital drs to be VERY CAREFUL, as the next attack could be fatal!!!...  As his Mom, I hope for the best and leave the rest to God and Kevin's guardian angels....one of them is surely my Dad, who died last September, and the other is my Mom who died in '94...

Always above 110 degrees in the summer here everyday. Drink lots of water and always wear a hat when outside!

He's 20 yrs old and thinks he knows EVERYTHING....you know the age...the kids think they are much smarter than us "mere mortals" who are their parents...lol...
  of course, we were NEVER like that with our parents...lol...He got home tonight and said 2 guys were out today and he was by himself out there in the hot and humid 90 degree weather for 9 hrs today...he still has tomorrow to get through this dangerous weather...:( He's afraid to take too many breaks because he's new and doesn't want to lose this job...he goes to college and this job works out perfectly with his school schedule... I told him to take a copy of the hospital discharge instructions advising him to be very careful of the heat and sun as the next incident could be fatal... All I can do is tell him to DRINK, DRINK, DRINK, especially Gatorade...since he had this emergency this week with the heat, he is much more susceptible to another incident...

  Just a 'friendly reminder' now that summer is here again... I am just looking out for all of you and telling you to be very careful when you are out there washing and waxing and detailing your cars in the heat and humidity...  I care about my C5 family and I hope to spare all of you the scary experience I had with my son last summer...:( Just be careful out there or I might have to 'smack you upside the head'...  'Now back to your regularly scheduled C5 viewing and posting'...
