This is a great job, man. But I couldn't imagine basically redo-ing the entire front of the car. Isn't your car kind of a mutt now? :P
You, good sir are a master V6 modder. |

It's a spin-off of the hot wheels version. GM V6 Front splitter ZL1 upper grill. ZL1 rockers NPP Dual mode exhaust The 14' hood vent does set it apart a bit but it's still an OEM part. I think it's has tasteful exterior mods using OEM parts without over doing it. I like it.

Ok,
So I bought the insulator part #23152819 (off a 14' SS) It looks cleaner when the rain tray is attached (no chapped off bow tie) but I'll need to come up with a way to add some mounting surfaces so I can use the additional push pin location on rain tray. In fact...once I do that I can cut the bolts down and just use the push-in plastic clips to hold the rain tray in...that would give a complete OEM look on the underside of the hood. I'm headed to Willow springs this Sunday so this will have to wait until then. Stay tuned...

kaboom1701 Thanks for the info. I'm going to order the hood liner also. Was it a perfect fit on the V6 hood? I like that clean look. Can you let me know where you order it from.

I sold the car and made a small upgrade,,,
![]() Just follow the DIY thread and you'll be fine. I did go a step further and replaced the hood liner with a 14' SS version. Gives it a cleaner look when the hood is open.

Did hey boom, did you ever run it with the vent at willow? Did it feel more planted at high speeds? Congrats on the upgrade!

I did feel much better at speeds over +95mph... The hood vent helps release a lot of the backpressure that builds under the stock V6 hoods at high speeds. Funny thing is that with all the mods I did this little $56 hood scoop got most of the attention from people. lol
