Interesting post and unbelievable as well. I live in Upper Saucon in PA and am looking to purchase a Camaro and have, as of last night, started looking around. I have had good experiences with Halderman in Allentown. My regular vehicle is a Lincoln so if they don't cater to us, we will naturally will go somewhere else. They do go out of their way for their customers.
I guess I have to do my homework as to who is a good dealership around here. Maybe I'll start a thread asking such. |

I used USAA buying service for the trim and options I wanted. Dealers wanting a sale email me their best deal. I took the best offer, printed it, and took it to the dealer just down the street and said I'll put down $5000 cash if you order it today - same price out the door. They made less money as overhead is higher in their location as are taxes. Cash talked and the car got ordered.
If you're eligible for USAA membership, DO IT.

It sucks they worked the deal that way. But on the flip side either ethics or laziness on their part kicked in as they could have just swapped the stickers with new mileage/date. With only 600 miles, 99.9% would have never questioned it.
