+1

I actually emailed Stas this morning to see if they could make a canned 91 tune since they are dyno tuning for 91. I would love that, 93 is hard to find in OKC. Maybe have two options for the canned tune. Maybe would help sell more kits too.. We'll see what he says.

They can't get the fuel right on 91, and are having pressure issues. Octane boost would not add enough, and I asked about the race fuel addition since there was between 1/2 and 3/4 in there and was told that would produce inconsistent results.

Turns out the tuner is a "contract" employee and not someone that works for them, so they have drained the tank and replaced with 93, but no one knows when they can get the tuner back. They may try to just adjust the springs to 11lbs and see what it does. As of last night at 130 they were calling it at 91 octane and 436hp and 428trq.

However, after they stopped communicating with me, they ran into the fuel pressure issues after the car gets warm.

Again, Ill update more later......

Right now I am stuck here in their showroom waiting to even see if they can get a tuner or if the mechanic is going to "wing it" on the 93.

If your Air/Fuel ratio looks good then I would call it good for now. Try to stay out of boost on the trip back, and when you get home you can get it remotely tuned by GPI or FSP. Or you can make the trip to Arkansas and have GPI do a dyno and street tune. You'll have to pay for a HP or EFI license, but then you will have someone that can retune it when you make changes. You can even get separate tunes for different octane ratings.

If you are really worried, try to get a bottle of Torco for the trip back.

Hopefully they can get the fuel pressure right, then like you say, I can get the tune straightened out later.

Now they want to put in a set of NGK plugs to try that.

Thanks guys.

Good information, I will look into that after I get my turbos on.. I'll be suprised if the canned tune works out perfectly. Plus Arkansas isn't that far of a drive for me and we love driving through the ozarks.. I would love to have seperate tunes for 91 and 93. Everyday vs track.

They probably won't get the fuel pressure right unless they are really good at DI tuning. Have them put the 7# springs back in, use the boost controller to adjust the boost until you have a good safe AFR and drive home.

Ok, they got it up to 440hp and 11.5 on the fuel/air, calling it a day and taking your advice on using the boost controller till I can get home and sort this out.

Thanks guys,

Rich

Looks like they got the air fuel ratio better, so did they get the fuel pressure problem figured out then?

Do they say it's good and safe now? Still going to the drag strip or just straight home?
