The best coil overs on the market, in design and function are the pfadts, their value is just fantastic! These are the best available for the car right now, ask Carriage House, they use them on their race car!

PM me if you have specific questions about this product.

How are they best? Unless they're head and shoulders above the others in performance, the price difference kinda sux.

Not trying to pick a fight, just asking a valid question.

Pedders will be doing a track testing of the new Pedders Camaro tentively on Oct 10, with a rain day of he 11th, at Gingerman. We will have a pro driver put her and a modified Z06 thru their paces. There will be lots of invited guests to document it, not to mention a bunch of magazines. This will document what we think is the best handling Camaro in the USA.

Thanks

Is this drop kit 1 or 2? I really like the look of this.

The last part of the Pedders suspension max mod, is waiting, and waiting for nearly 3 weeks for our potential final sway bar for the rear that maybe the boys in customs found out what it is, and decided to put it on one of their cars!!

We have noticed the last 2 months stuff is getting out of customs after a very long wait, the explanation given to us has bee potentially related to some security issues we have been experienciing.

We already have her corner balanced, but align specs not set up 100% yet. The engine is not exactly where we want her. On all supercharged Camaros, all are experiencing higher than normal fuel pressure drops at 6000 RPM plus, this is a little concerning for extended testings, however. But this use will not be resolved soon, or at least to the way we want it. But may result in letting off on the straight a ways, a little.

I will talk to Pete to see if we can open this session to our friends on the forums.

thanks

Chatted with Pete. Having people there as spectators is a concern for the magazines. All info at this event will belong to the magazines until the articles are published. So we will have to keep it a closed event per their request.

We will have a number of special invited guests to document however.

That's the ride height they should have left the factory with!

I'm looking to lower mine about another 1/2" from that.

Well that will put you at aprox 1.5 front and 2 inched rear. To get these levels, you will need coil overs which will give you a range from a 1 inch lift, which are surprisingly popular, to a 2+ inch drop, which offers the best handling, but does not like steep driveways.

I figured as much, but I'd rather have coilovers than lowering springs and OE struts anyway.

Sorry for the delay, lets add fuel to the fire!

Why I believe the Pfadt coilovers are the best available currently, three quick points come to mind, and from my talks with other consumers.

-They are an inverted shock assembly -
Which creates less un sprung mass, moving the body of the shock to the top of the assembly creates a stronger over all unit, and better shock travel.

- The Rear of Pfadts coilovers does not use a tapered perch for the spring assembly seat, like the pedders unit. This allows quick and easy spring changes, that you can purchase anywhere , not a custom spring, which is going to incur more cost and time, if there is desire or a need to change.

-Pfadts are only 16 way adjustable, (i know pedders are 30 im getting there). There is no need to have 30 way adjustable coilovers for any street application in my opinion, but with out that, the pfadts will offer the same range of dampening an rebound with 14 less clicks.

-The Pfadt coilovers were designed specifically for the Camaro, not a G8, Not a GTO, not a corvette. This is obviously important because each one of the those car may be similar, they are in no way the same, and should not be treated as such. This is the one issue I have already heard from a few clients that the pedders units are just a cross over, with minimal R&D used on the actual camaro chassis. I can not confirm this, but it does seem their product is VERY similar to their other units.

Aside from differences, I will get to the price. My clients have told me the pedders after this pre sale is over will sell for 1890, im not sure this being the truth, but if that's the case then Price isn't even in the discussion. Somethings to consider though-

Buy parts from vendors who have a direct relationship with the manufacture to help warranty claims, or product issues, remember its hard to get claims taken care of quickly when your dealing with overseas companies.

Buy parts from vendors who have installed and tested the products they are selling, so you know who to blame if they don't work . Seriously this is important because if you have any tech questions, set up type questions, the vendor will have advice and recommendation that is first hand.

Finally factor price, and price relative to the value you are getting.

And who ever puts together a track test (Pedders Pfadt, whomever), make sure you include the competition, not just competing against your selves, nothing worse the racing slow against slower .

Regards
