Btw do you have pis of the 72 Mach? I love those big stangs, always wanted one. As far as Classic Mustangs go my other favorite would be a 69 Boss 302.

Yeah 1000% sure it was a Boss.

I have the video if the time slip isn't enough............

Also this was at Bradenton FL in September at 1130AM. Not exactly cool there or the best racing conditions.

Hey since you also in FL and are used to running in similar humid air, is that time about average for you give or take some faster or slower runs?
I hardly go to the track. That was my 2nd trip ever and was my fastest run 13.40. I only got 2 passes that day because the track started to sweat from them prepping after lots of rain. They ended up shutting it down. With more practice I could get into the 12s with a good DA. This car is very capable of it. My first run was a 13.8 with a slightly better 60ft, went down the return road and got back in line and ran that Boss and ran the 13.4. Right after that run they tried to get on top of the sweating problem and after an hour of waiting they shut down the track for safety. Haven't been back since. Its almost a 2 hour drive.

My first trip, 3 runs were all 14.0s with an exception of trying to use launch control and getting a 14.5 (bad wheel hop, ended up having to put the clutch back in and then pretty much re-launching and still beating a 2012-2013 5.0 mustang, no idea what his problem was).

OSW is like racing on a ice rink, always been that way on test and tune and street car nights, just part of the going there. Only time they really prep the track good is for race events.

A lot of drivers were even having traction issues through the 1/8th that night. I even got wheel spin a few times on a shift in my slow automatic.
So same track...same night...both spinning.....no more to explain to anyone..good kill.

Negative, Ghost Rider... Takes nothing more than a tune and a catless mid pipe to hit those traps. You must be watching cars run in 4000ft D/A...

OSW isn't that bad. I've run my best times there. Try going on Wednesdays EARLY so you can get in a run or two right when they prep the track. I was wondering if you lived in a place where the DA was atrocious. You dont really. There is a LOT more in that car. Just have to figure out how to get it.

Lol. Yeah. I've been running a FB club for a little over 2 years so I been tied up with that. Also, my bro-in-law traded his LLT for an LS2 C6 Vette. So now I have a whole new animal to deal with. In addition I was following very closely on a Project 12Sec LLT thread that seems to have gone cold.

I just contributed here because Im at OSW all the time. Have at LEAST 150 passes there. I'm not going to be that mustang guy spewing nonsense on a Camaro board. I respect the platform and will only post if I have something to contribute.

All sizzle...no steak. That's why I don't listen to the guys that post about who should win races without even running their cars. Excellent point.

Not sure....the runway races I go to have no times...I do know a 2012 shelby beat me by more then 5 cars .....so maybe we can work with that. I'll head 3 hours the other way in the spring after my tune to a track to see how good or bad it runs.

Thanks for the advice brotha, I will try getting there early next time.
Best I have run at OSW was 13.4 @ 106mph in the L99 SS.

I don't go that often, I actually had only been there a few times over the past years till I picked up the SS. Prior to years back when I went often in my old 99 M6 Z28.
I had a few other cars in the years between only three I ever took to the track were my 04 Mustang GT that had bunch of bolt ons, my 97 Z28 and my old Eco rocket 09 Nissan Sentra SE-R I bought when I was commuting long distances daily.
No doubt I could use more practice in the SS.
Just never been a huge fan of OSW but I will keep learning with practice.

Btw nice times on the 3.7. My little nephew loves Mustangs, he's only 18 and just got his first real decent job. He keeps looking at older SN95 GT's and or pre 99 Cobras. I told him to look at a used 3.7 instead becuse it's a better bang for the buck and quicker than those old V8s. Plus he doesn't have a ton of cash, that 3.7 should save him on insurance and gas. He's looked at old 3.8'S and 4.0's too but I said don't waist your time. 3.7 is the way to with the V6 Mustang.

Now that I know what your car looks like if I see you next time I'm at OSW I'll say hi. Maybe we can run too, as long as I don't blow the launch it should be a good one.

I wish they did a night with no times at OSW. I just like going to race other guys to see how I stack up against their cas and driving skills.
Sometimes the pressure of trying to get a certain number on a little piece of paper takes some of that fun away.
