The rear upper control arm has a similar ball joint as well. Have them check that as well. Don't worry you have warranty.

It really was the knuckle as the rubber joints that connect to it went bad. The new one seems to be holding up just fine. For how long, I dont know. Hoping it last until till the life of the car.
