This is little confusing to me...

Under the "Action Required" section related to the SS constraint, does that mean that any orders already picked up by GM (code 2000+) are not affected by this? In other words, does the SS constraint only affect orders still at 1100, and new orders coming in?

More money, but still no car...

I agree, but I have a feeling I'm going to have $295 tacked onto my MSRP because I'm still at 1100. Doesn't matter that I ordered it 10 June with a price agreement, I just know I'll get nailed with it. My order is supposed to get an allocation before the 17th... I'll have to see if I get a phone call before then.

I can live with $300 - I just want the car at this point.

I see the info about the rally stripes being factory applied, but what about the hockey stripe packages? Anyone know whether those are staying a dealer item?

GM would have to be foolish to put a constraint on how many SS models they make....

.,...that is....unless, they are not selling as many as they thought they would.

...however, last I heard, the majority of models heading out of Oshawa were nothing but SS's. I see some PO'd people who want SS's here in the near future.

BTW, I sure wish those of us that were GM faithful buying these first year runs could get all the "upgrades" by taking our 2010's into the dealer and having them installed.....ie: park assist, HUD (when available), etc.

I think you are right that its foolish for gm to do that but it my not be up to them, At this time dos GM make the fuel rating for the fleet, That may be it.

It's a supplier issue for the SS from what I'm told. It's expected to last greater than 4 weeks. You want the limited bad boys, sell the V6's or get off the pot!

could be they have too many V6 parts sitting around, thus holding "inventory dollars"

Also meaning big bad Dr. Gov came in and said "hey, hey, hey....tone it down on the V8's..lol, i don't see any green in this plant"... but most likely supplier issue. People want their V8'S!!!!!!

I know that my dealer along with a few others, are having trouble getting rid of the V6-M in particular. Like it was discussed in an earlier thread (http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27968) "post #2" the bulk of the people want the SS and only the SS. There thought process is like mine if you are gonna get this car mid-as-well go all out (not all, majority). But i guess this makes the first batch of SS differ from the rest, a little unique for alittle while longer but it sucks for all those still waiting, i hope all the RP6's have gotten taken care of by now.

Ford has the same limitations with their mustang GT... It's not new. I was surprised that Chevy didn't have these limitations to begin with. All that is going to happen now is dealers will start charging 10-15k over MSRP like they did for the 2005 Mustang GT...
