Stop?? Why? Because it blows apart anyone who bags on the V6? People hate hearing it because it;s true.. lol... No one says those old cars are slow. No one says to their owners "Just go buy a new Hellcat if you want to go faster"...

I own an SS. I love the car and the engine. I just get sick of seeing people tell V6 owners to buy an SS every time they ask about a mod. It's stupid.

Or as I have told someone I know that dives a Corvette, "What is the difference between a Corvette and a Porcupine?", The Porcupine has the prick on the outside!

Lol that's the same comparison you bonehead. The 68 camaro is a lot slower TODAY than it was 50 years ago.. Just like my grandpa. 50 years ago the 1968 Camaro SS was a fast car, now it is not at all. So your bragging a 2010v6 is faster than a slow ass 1968 v8 car.

I don't think comparing cars 40 years apart is very useful. Heck I had a new Trans Am with 190 hp back in 85 that was pretty darn quick for its day (still my favorite car ever). Other than Corvettes and exotics I don't think anything made much more than 210 hp. Now a new Camry with a full trunk of groceries would outrun that 85 T/A. That fact doesn't take anything away from the T/A or give any credit to the Camry. It's more an indication of what advances in technology and efficiency engineers have made over the last 40 years.

Well my answer was coming from a old V6 owner myself...
I really feel the IPF kit is the best bang for the buck when it comes to S/C the V6 and still have it as a DD. The Turbos are nice and you can get more HP numbers but it's been proven that once you pass the 500rwhp mark on the stock V6 drivetrain things start breaking...

Op, idk about the more hp part, but the vitesse throttle controller def gave my car more "go". Best bang for buck and its plug and play.

because the truth is you'll spend a ton of money on the V6, your resale value will take a big hit, you still won't have enough HP, and you'll probably move to a V8 car later anyhow. for the price of some of these kits, you can probably switch to a similar V8 car. I think the V6 Camaro is an awesome deal for the money. I'd personally do a few appearance mods and just enjoy it. |
