I just installed mine a month ago and haven't checked yet but I've heard you should check and empty every time you do an oil change AT LEAST.

I installed an Elite Catch Can in my 2013 2LT at 4000 miles. I drain it prior to my 5000 mile oil changes. The car now has 75,000 miles on it without an issue. I just traded the car and ordered a new Catch Can for my new 2015 2LT, I will install it this Sunday weather permitting.

I installed one on Mr. Freeze at 100K miles. Caught about an ounce of oil in 500 miles.

Mine is a $119.00 Mike Norris can. Easy to install. Works great, no issues.

thanks for all the info!

I've been looking at them online and it appears that there are different bracket options...any suggestions as to which one is the best?

Lol. Some poor sap wont know to dump the can. Oil will fly into the intake manifold and clean side pcv lines and engine goes clunk.

Yeah, I've always wondered why catch cans don't come stock but it's clear that no one would ever think to empty it unless they know.

I've been doing some research on these and it seems that there are good ones and bad ones. Some of the catch cans don't filter out as much as others, so I guess it goes with that old saying, "you get what you pay for." I've been looking at Elite Engineering and RX. If you have a ZL1, you'll need a can with a single check valve, at least that's what the guys from APEX told me. Hope that helps! This is a fairly new subject to me too.

Elite Catch Can...hose relocation under engine cover????

Elite Catch Can arrived!

Now the question I have regarding the location of the hoses...is there any way to route both hoses under the engine cover without causing any issues????
