Glad yall are okay. In looking at the damage, it looks as if it may have started near the fuse box in the engine compartment. Did you by chance have lighting wired up to the fuse box?

Always carry a fire extinguisher in your car if you done any power performance mods....

I need to do the same thing. I just don't know if I should mount it somewhere or if having it in my cargo bag is enough.

I doubt very much that it is something that owners have to worry about, if it were something that might be a potential recall you would be hearing about these fires since 2010 . With the entire engine compartment being toast it wont be easy to determine the exact cause.
