if I went 20x9 and 20x10 both with 35 mm offset would that work? would the edge of the wheels line up close to the same way say just to the edge of the wheel fender arch?

20X10 Squared +35 offset with 1" drop springs.

Best looking non-staggered setup IMO

275 (stock size) tire will fill in the fender gap better but a 285 (Stock Zl1 lower profile) will be a bit wider. Your choice.

It will fit fine no issues.

20x10 +23's on 285-35-20's squared all around with 1" drop. The 285-35-20 gives you an additional 10mm(.40") drop. You can rotate front to back(non directional tires only) and it will handle better. IMO, I like how the +23's give a more aggressive look. No rubbing.

I went with the flat black ZL1 wheels 9" and 10" and if I had to do it over again, I would have gotten 10" all around. The mixed sizes in 20" dramatically reduces your tire choices.
