As others said you will be getting tons of lawyer offers in the mail.
He will plead it down for improper equipment, hopefully you will get a PJC and need to stay clean for a while. Anything 15 MPH+ here you get the reckless charge!

CHURCH HILL — A Kingsport teen who led police in Hawkins County on a 100 mph chase only weeks after a similar Kingsport chase in which he admittedly “smoked” police, was sentenced to 15 days in jail Tuesday on his Hawkins County charges.

On March 21 Gregory Alan Fletcher was charged by the Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office with speeding 100 mph in a 55 mph zone, felony evading arrest, simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Mount Carmel Police Department additionally charged Fletcher with speeding 125 mph in a 55 mph zone and reckless driving.

Fletcher, 19, 1601 Harrison Avenue, Kingsport, appeared Tuesday in the Church Hill courtroom of Hawkins County Sessions Court where he pleaded guilty to the reduced misdemeanor evading arrest charge, as well as speeding and simple possession of marijuana.

The HCSO speeding charge, and both MCPD charges were dismissed.

Aside from the 15 days in jail, Fletcher was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days of probation and ordered to serve 96 hours of community service.

On March 21 around 11:30 p.m. Mount Carmel police reportedly spotted Fletcher’s 2004 Pontiac GTO traveling 125 mph westbound on Highway 11-W where the speed limit is 55 mph.

The HCSO reportedly picked up the pursuit in Church Hill and clocked Fletcher in excess of 100 mph before getting him stopped at the intersection of 11-W and Goshen Valley Road.

When the HCSO finally got the GTO stopped, deputies allegedly detected a strong odor of marijuana smoke emanating from the driver’s compartment.

On Jan. 19 Fletcher was arrested by Kingsport police following an early morning high speed chase on Lynn Garden Drive in which Fletcher allegedly exceeded 100 mph before police ended the pursuit. Fletcher was later arrested at his home.

Fletcher’s Kingsport charges are still pending and include felony reckless endangerment with a motor vehicle, felony evading arrest, reckless driving, speeding and driving left of center.

Following his Jan. 19 arrest Fletcher infamously told the arresting officer, "I just wanted to see how bad I smoked your ass. I was watching you in my rearview mirror."

He is scheduled to appear in Sullivan County Sessions Court on May 19 on the Kingsport charges.

I just talked about this on a thread I posted. But I got pulled over and went to jail going 96 in a 55. I knew some people in law enforcement and my dad knew some people so all in all my reckless driving was dropped and instead of 96 it was 76 and two points off my license and a 270 fine. Maybe talk to the arresting officer, if you know someone, or lawyer up since 108 in a 65 would be considered reckless.

I got one for 123 in a 55 a couple years ago in Hawaii, $1500 in fines and lawyer fees and it went away, no points or suspension. A good lawyer helps. It was kind of worth it to find out that the HUD will register speed all the way till the governor cuts you off at 150 ish.

update.. 4 points, plus a fine around 500.. community service also.. dropped the wreckless charges and lowered speeding.. all they want is your money.. its fn business..

If all they wanted was your money don't you think they would not have lowered the charges?? I bet the fine would have been substantially higher than $500.
Be grateful they lowered the charges instead of being an ass about it, and slow down and you won't have to go through this again...
